Eight New Patterns — Painted Plaid

I’ve know I’ve been kinda O.W.L lately, but I have been work­ing on a few things My port­fo­lio has been redesigned and I’m work­ing on some illus­tra­tions and fab­rics. Here’s some pat­terns made using ele­ments of said fab­rics. There’s eight dif­fer­ent col­our schemes, though feel free to edit them to your lik­ing — the easi­est way would be to open them in your image edit­ing pro­gram and chan­ging the hue.

Ember/​Blue — Father Sculptor

I miss post­ing my song of the week yes­ter­day so here’s two to make up for it! Ember /​ Blue is the debut single by Father Sculptor avail­able for free down­load at their web­site. I love both tracks and can’t wait for a full album!

Five Dried Flower Scans

Flowers are sur­pris­ingly hard to dry. My attempts at pre­serving a few carna­tions ended with flaked petals all over my kit­chen floor and the microwave smelling faintly of wood­lands. It’s a shame, they had beau­ti­ful leafs that faded from bright pinks, purples and blues to pure white. I have no idea what these flowers are, but I suc­cess­fully dried them so they are offi­cially the best flower to exist. This zip file con­tains five flower scans at 300 dpi. They’re a little high con­trast but still very pretty.

Pixellynn

I loved Pixellynn’s lay­out as soon as I laid eyes on it. I think it’s fant­astic when blogs have a hand-​​drawn, hand-​​made feel to them. It really emphas­ises the per­sonal nature of such web­sites and I think gives you a won­der­ful first insight into the per­son­al­ity of the owner. I ima­gine the owner of Pixellynn as very cre­at­ive, slightly whim­sical and fun per­sonal to be around.

As well as being pretty to look at Pixellynn has a col­lec­tion of art­icles, con­tests and resources includ­ing some very per­son­able and cute fonts.
